ABOUT::

Misson/Vision
To assist individuals, couples, families and organizations achieve “greatness in relationships” which has become their mission statement.

To accomplish this by getting accurate information out to the public about what really makes relationships work. Normally, so much of what we think and believe about relationships simply doesn’t work, but since we don’t know otherwise we just continue with what we know. We then become disappointed and discouraged when our relationships seem so difficult. The fact is there are many simple and powerful things we can do in our relationships to make them really work. Simple, though, doesn’t necessarily mean easy. Interestingly enough, developing and maintaining good relationships is hard and takes just as much energy as does the arguing and fighting in poor relationships. The difference is that even though it is hard, it is more enjoyable — and you have something to show for it: meaningful relationships. Their focus is on preventing problems before they become unmanageable. Too often, people will wait until their problems are out of control before they seek the help they need. Sherman’s mission is to get the information out there in an accessible and positive way so people can use that information to “nip problems in the bud” and spend their time building on their strengths.

How Bardos Began...
Bardos began when two marriage and family therapists felt a need to give back to the community where they live. Jonathan D. Sherman, LMFT and Jason J. Williams, LMFT, who are both licensed marriage and family therapists, began their first stage of giving back by forming the Relationship Wellness Series in January 2001.

Williams and Sherman had a long history together and actually met in graduate school in Illinois and ended up working at the same mental health agency in Utah. They started the Relationship Wellness Series and had a great time.

They have since amicably parted ways and remain great friends to this day. Jason is pursuing other interests in northern Utah and Jonathan continues his dream of helping others create "greatness in their relationships."

In addition to presentations to the community, Jonathan also presents on topics relevant to their field at professional conferences.
